Dirney Silver is a journalist, musician, public manager, poet, and cultural producer, also working as a consultant in cultural accessibility and a member of the Technical Committee on Accessibility of the State Secretariat of Culture of Rio Grande do Sul.

A native of Porto Alegre, in Rio Grande do Sul, and a person with visual impairment since the age of 8, Dirney Silver is the creator and Artistic and Editorial Director of Quintanares Radio, a cultural project developed in partnership with the Casa de Cultura Mario Quintana, an institution linked to the State Secretariat of Culture of Rio Grande do Sul.

Quintanares Radio broadcasts programs focused on art, culture, citizenship, and inclusion, as well as coverage and promotion of events at the CCMQ.

Broadcast in Portuguese, Spanish, and English, the station gives special attention to the inclusion of people with disabilities through cultural accessibility, as well as to issues of racial equality and gender diversity, through the arts and culture.

Dirney Silver is also the creator and director of Transcendental (Radio and TV), part of the Transcendental Communication Network, a holistic broadcaster focused on sustainability, quality of life, integrative therapies, social inclusion, art, and culture. It broadcasts in Portuguese, Spanish, English, Italian, and French.

Currently, Dirney Silver also directs the Rede Brasiliana de Comunicação, a network of cultural broadcasters integrating similar institutions across Brazil.

He is an executive and phonographic producer of the record labels Transcendental Music and Atabaque’s Records, the latter dedicated to Afro-Brazilian popular music, with more than 20 phonographic works produced.
